Even though my son was off college due to 1/2 term I still drove to Worcester for the river walk seeing as the weather is still quite warm and its very enjoyable exercise.
The Cormorants were resting up on the electric wires getting ready for Halloween as they kind of look the part don't you think.
Of course there was a few Swans getting cleaned up for a special occasion to, maybe they new I was coming with my camera again.
The Dark nights are here but the weathers still ok so make the most of those day light hours Healthunlockeders. I've been cutting back a cherry tree today and generally tidying up in the garden so I'm putting my feet up now and looking forward to fish and chips later, well Sharon is out with her auntie and it ain't worth cooking, is it!!

Thanks sassy, The photo is one of Eastnor Castle where I went last week to watch the mud runner event. The view across the lake to the castle was worth a quick snap seeing as I had climbed over a locked gate and probably wasn't supposed to be there.
The weather was good here to so I turned up my oxygen and attacked the cherry tree at the bottom of the garden. There was loads of coughing and sputtering, the oxy was on 10 liters and I had a seat nearby for much needed rests every couple of minutes, I kept cutting and coughing, cutting and coughing until the job was done, I'm quite pleased with myself now but also very tired so it could be an early night for me. ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz
There will be another song coming I'm afraid as these lungs need all the help they can get.

that swan was fantastic - he looked like he was throwing a paddy smacking the water and when he reared up to dry - well WoW wonderful.
We went for a walk in Devizers this morning - along the Kennet and Avon canal - weather was beautiful and we saw a Kingfisher going up and down the canal showing off bright blue feathers
I thought the swans were giving me a bit of a show so It was time to get the camera out. These were away from the main group and getting cleaned up for something, probably trying to look their best for the healthunlockeders eh'
There was a cormorant right in front of me at the same time but when he dived down to look for food he must have gone a long way because I didn't see him again. As for the kingfisher, I saw two last week flying low and fast but it was a dull day so their colour wasn't quite so striking, it was still great to see them as they are special.
Keep that camera nearby eye's because you have captured some real gems with it.
You know your birdies Tony are you a bit of a twitcher,I would be if I could only see the darn things I love to watch them on tv especially the ones in far off lands there are some real beauts with their funny little rituals and dances. Takecare Janexx
Country born and bred me so yes I know a little about birds and the feathered ones too. . There's some crazy little critters around the world but I mainly know our own, My eye sight isn't what it was though after picking up a virus in ICU which damaged my right eye. I'm not going back to complain though, after all they did save my life against all the odds.

i loved all the pictures. i love seeing way off lands. i leave in corn country and cows. but live in the city. i do see birds as i feed during the winter and have flowers planted hoping for hummingbirds but told it could take up to 5 years. but oh do we get the most unusuasal butterflies of all color and shapes. and so i get to see them that way.
I wish, but even if I did own it I wouldn't be able to afford the council tax and heating bills which must be pretty high. No harm in dreaming though, it'll take a jackpot win on the euro lottery me thinks.
Glad you liked the videos tinamg, I wish we had humming birds in the wild here in England, they would be something to see, we have to settle for seeing them in special tropically heated bird aviary's.
There were a few butterfly's in my garden yesterday which is quite amazing for late October, the one was a very colourful Peacock.
As for running, that's a distant memory since my lungs don't work so well these days.

Just watched the videos Tony and one of the cats who was sitting on my lap pricked up her ears at the sounds. So I showed her the swans and when the big swan reared up in the water, she looked uncomfortae then ran out of the room. Now if you were singing we'd know what to blame but as it is, can only assume she doesn't like swans

I've been supervising my son/apprentice fixing the neighbors car this morning I wonder if he'll share any rewards that are on offer eh' . Flying pigs come to mind for some reason
You wouldn't want to swim in that water om its the river Severn, 3 of my friends were fishing on a very hot summers day 40 years ago and they foolishly drank the Severn water, not surprisingly they were all very sick and had a week off school so I'm glad I never went with them that day.
I wouldn't mind swimming in the lake in front of Eastnor castle though, that's an amazing place, I was there a week before watching the mud runner competition with my camera of course. There were no Swans on the lake though which was surprising but there was plenty of ducks.
Blimey, Eastnor ..... haven't been there for ages. I drove right past it today coming home from a family lunch up at The Royal Oak on Bromyard Downs ......
Beautiful - weather here in Norfolk glorious - brisk but sunny. got some young friends staying with their puppy Labrador (Ruby) for a couple of days and Ruby loves all the fields around here....wish I could still do the long walk . Have a lovely day
Hi Louisiana, if you can't do the long walk, try a short one. . I did a 6 minute walk test today at fit to breath, I covered 435 meters off oxygen and my oxygen sats dropped to 72 which was ok for me. I have done better but I didn't want to scare the people waiting with my heavy breathing so I held back a little. I push myself harder at the 3 monthly transplant clinic where they are more used to me.
Its a shame to waste the good weather your having over in Norfolk so a short walk in the fields with Ruby might be good for you both.
As you can tell I am a believer in exercise (if possible) to help our situation but I do realise its not possible for everyone so I make my short videos so people can enjoy a bit of the outdoors at home.
