PIP now will come with a PIP2 Form!

Claims to Personal Independence Payment are started over the

phone by calling the PIP new claims number - 0800 917 2222 (or

text phone 0800 917 7777).

Once the claim has been registered, DWP will send the claimant a

PIP2 ‘How your disability affects you’ form for completion. You'll

see that the form is personalised with the details of the individual

claimant.

Forms cannot be copied or used for other claimants. Please do not

try to use printed versions of this form.

Now you have to talk to them first. So before anyone does seek advice in advance because what you say cn make or break a claim

i have no need to worry about this, but great advice for those that need to claim,,,jimmy

I got turned down for pip, had a reconsideration and still turned down now I have to go to tribunal , just waiting for a date, won't hold my breath the claim has already took a year I claimed nov 13, my doctor is disgusted that I've been turned down based on my condition, and to top it off I've just received a letter from dwp for a back to work interview, which I don't mind as long as it's very flexible due to never knowing from each day how I will be, if I can even turn in, no stairs, no dust, no fumes, no pollen , not cold, not to hot, hopefully no other workers come to work ill, and the list goes on, I'm 41 and already feel my life is over to a degree ( I'm grateful for what I do have and the time with my family ) but this treatment by the dwp has really kicked me when I'm already down. I'm not happy that I had to give up my job that I loved and have done since leaving school , never claimed benefits till now and get made to feel like a dole dosser. Oh well let's hope I get a decent but understanding knowledgable panel at my tribunal. X Sonia x

Hi Sonia, make sure you have somebody with you and ask for the tribunal to be recorded. It seems they will try anything to avoid paying out which is actually costing us,the tax payer more.Tory idealism may destroy this country.Good luck! D.

Sonia I wish you all the best but it worth remembering and Farmer D should know better it was the labour party who changed the benefit system and gave Atos the right to treat us all like dossers, they had one aim to get as many people off benefits and that is why people on this site has suffered.

I will also add that when Mr Brown and cronies were pushed out the Tories should of changed this back to the old system and they did not.

I hope your tribunal goes well keep us posted

When they were given a contract fraud on sick benefit was 1% and how much has this extended contract cost us they have made a dam sight more than they have saved and Milaband has said if he were voted in at the next election he will continue with this system that does not work sharp knife and draw come to mind

in reply to onamission

Thanks onamission just makes me sick I know I'm not old buts have worked since leaving school even only having normal maternity time off when I had my kids, my hubby was a paint sprayer and have to give up his job to be a carer for his elderly mom with health issues, then our youngest has health issues and is an agrophobic ( if that's spelt right she can't leave the house ) she is home schooled and obviously needs some one with her but I still went to work full time we managed money and care duties between us, now I'm ill my hubby and kids have to split their time between all of us and I can't get the benefit I deserve without a fight which is stressful aswel, ( and to top it off my mom has a inoperable brain tumour that has disfigured her face and has bought on epilepsy so I like to try and see my mom when I'm well enough but can't help her as much as I used to due to my issues. I'm not a scrounger I'm ill and getting worse. Oh well let's see what happens, will let u know when I get a date for tribunal. X Sonia x

Your story is very similar to mine I worked for the NHS did solid nights for 16 years my husband had

the married tax I also took on a second job nights I was working 6 nights a week 68 hours in total when I had my kids I worked up until the week before and the day before with the 2nd.

I had a nasty RTA and was unable to work yet I was told I was fit for work and I could not claim anything because my husband was working.

Atos has made claiming benefit imposable I know people who have had to wait over a year and look how many people have committed suicide and only a few weeks ago that young lad dies with no food he was diabetic he had his JSA sanctioned both labour and Tory party are responsible for this I do hope you get your decision over turned.

in reply to onamission

We can but hope, I did permanent nights for the nhs too ( had to do the odd days for training purposes ) now I'm there more often as a patient lol. Surprised they haven't commented on my daughter who can't go out, and on the odd occasion she has to like to the doctors it's takes hours b4 hand she will only try and go out at certain times, certain places and never at a weekend, it's normally once every month/ 6 weeks that she will try and leave the house awful condition for her to deal with a her age and all this started 2 yrs ago after having a fit, anyway back to what I was saying Im surprised they haven't said she can care/help me being as though she's here, although she does help me she can't pay my bills lol. I'm sorry to hear about your daughter my daughter went through a stage where she could not go outside the GP said it was stress she also suffered from IBS and that same GP gave her codeine and told her to take up to 12 a day and go to work she changed her GP and he took her off them both he and I were fuming.

in reply to onamission

She is under camhs ( child&adolesence mental health team) she is only 14, so can't have medication her target at the min is to open the front walk down the path and back, b4 home was stressful as it all revolved around her making it awkward for family outings, she even goes upstairs if family or friends come to visit, she just doesn't like being around people of any kind. Hopefully she'll get better in time this is no life for her, and family outings aren't a problem cuz I've joined her in being stuck in lol. X Sonia x

My daughter had no help it was me who got her to go out it took me months first hanging washing on the line, mowing the lawn, washing the car and then to the local shop and finally out for a walk with the dogs it was hard work and now she married with a 8 moth old baby girl she still get's the IBS from time to time but is doing really well I hope you get the help you need both from CAMS and PIP

in reply to onamission

Thank you I'll never be stress free with everything that's going on at home and everyone's different ailments but just getting what I deserve if I deserve it will take some of the pressure of mounting bills I don't want luxuries just bills paid, roof over our heads and food in the cupboard luckily love comes free and I've got plenty of that. Ur daughter must be so proud of herself going through all that and coming out the other side and now become a mom herself good for her. Xxx Sonia x

This happened to Nin, took roughly six months for the claim to go through, but had a back to work interview in the intermediate period, all went well, and thankfully our GP was on board as well.

The claim form was filled in line, which we told to do, but it did take numerous phone calls back and forth verifying information. And it was back paid for the full waiting period.

in reply to iamnins

Thanks for that well if mine is approved they owe me back to last year nov 13 , hope nins is good, and how's the driving going ???? Take care both x Sonia x

Not good Sonia. Apparently around 40% of appeals are won so fingers crossed for you. It's disgraceful that they are allowed to hassle ill people like that and make things worse for them. x
