Strange smell

Bit of a strange one...... Recently I feel that I can smell something like stale cigarette smoke, quite often but especially at night. No one in my family smokes, in fact no one has ever smoked in my house! It's really weird lol! Just wondering if anyone else has had this strange sensation?? I have NSIP by the way.

Yes, me too and I have been accusing people of secretly smoking! Only over the last 2 weeks though and always after dark. I was beginning to wonder if somebody in the neighbourhood was having secret nightime fires!

Weird isn't it? I'm seeing the cons next week and I'm going to mention it although I'm sure he'll think I'm potty!!

My hubby used to say about smoking and then l needed to brush my teeth cos l smelled of fish.LOL. No fish in the house for weeks.

Well that's scary I'll definitely mention it this week, the migraine thing is interesting, trying to work out if the smell comes along with the headaches.....

Stillrucking, I think that website goes too far! I think a strange smell may come from a drug that you take. I know I had a drug which gave me a metal taste in the mouth. This was well known by my consultant.

Kind of obvious question you've probably thought of MrsS, but could it be coming in from outside?

We have single skin brick walls in our terrace house which is victorian so some of the pointing under the floorboards is old and missing. I could never understand why i could smell smoke, then when i was doing some building work and had the floorboards up, there they were - holes! And the pointing is the old type lime which is quite porous anyway. Thankfully the neighbours have stopped smoking now.

On the other side the neighbours used to smoke under our window but stopped when we told them the smoke was coming in.

Hope you get to the bottom of it

Our house is detatched and quite a way from the neighbours, my hubby informed me last night that the girl next door does smoke through her bedroom window sometimes so maybe it is that if the wind is in the right direction I can smell it......I dunno, it's not pleasant though!

I think I am over sensitive to it, I've never smoked so I have a low tolerance to the smell of smoke!
