Violence on the Southampton sea front

> I witnessed absolutely disgusting behavior on the sea front at Southampton today. I saw a man and a woman having an almighty argument in front of a load of kids. Suddenly the woman smacked the guy on the head and it all kicked off!!! There was a massive brawl and someone must have phoned the police. This poor copper turned up on his own and took his baton to the man. The guy managed to get the baton off the copper and began to assault the copper and his wife!!!

> Then, out of nowhere, a crocodile crept up and stole all the sausages.

Go to sleep.

It is nice to hear that the tradition goes on.

Oh, you really had me going there for a while Sohara! So gullible :-( but made me smile :-)

Have to say I never really enjoyed Punch & Judy as a child, though I know most kids love it. Agree with RibvanRey though, that it's good the old traditions still continue.

Off to bed now, still smiling. Thanks for that.

Goodnight now, Jan

Nice one you got me drawn in. As an older person I still love Punch and Judy and often look to see if it being kept traditional.

I did get escorted off the prom at Weymouth for impersonating Punch. I thought I would entertain the kids waiting for it to start, But the puppeteer did not see the funny side and called the police as I did not have an entertainment license! At least the kids waved me off ;)
