Handy tips

I'm a jeans girl, always have been and always will be BUT since having rubbish lungs I really struggle with buying new jeans.

Good ole Facey to the rescue! If you haven't got the ooomph, try the Neck Method: You can determine your size by placing the waistline of the jeans around the diameter of your neck. If the waistline comfortably meets at back of your neck, then the jeans will fit. (Courtesy of :- stylecaster.com/denim-tips/...

Who knew?!!!!!

Any more tips for life's little difficulties? :) xx

I have a tip, but I may have got it on this site, so my apologies if this is a repeat of something that someone else has posted, as I can't remember where I heard it.

I get exhausted and have to rest after showering. Its the drying of myself that knackers me and makes me breathless. A good tip for saving your energy if this is how you are, is to use a thick terry towelling bathrobe. Just put it on after washing and sit for about 5 -10 minutes and wallah! you are dry and not used up much needed energy. It really works. You can potter around in it if you want to, or just relax. It saves you getting all breathless through drying yourself. hugs xxx

Good suggestion - I do this but still have to towel dry the tootsies otherwise I get unwanted athletes foot which thrives in damp and warm bits! :) xx

Ah yes, the tootsies, face and hands still have to be hand dried, but that is more manageable. hugs xx

Yay! You tried it too then LOL. Have to admit it was quite claustrophobic but way better than struggling out of jeans and into a new pair for sizing. :) xx

Thanks for tip scrobbitty.. I'm also a jeans gal _ love 'em! However, I recently bought some cropped trousers and am wondering whether to do shorts for once as summer hots up. What style though...deffo not baggy, nor up round my bum and not a pleated waistline else I look like a waif! Come on girls...any ideas???

I would love to wear shorts but my legs are like twiglets and old twiglets at that :(

I wear an old tennis skirt when it's really hot but only at home LOL otherwise it's the jeans or loose fitting linen trousers. :) xx

Lol...I measured around my calfs last year and they were 14 inches, my neck was the same :D Today, I thought stuff it, and went out in an almost sleveless top(with jeans of course!). It was lovely to feel the warm air on my skin. Think most of us tend to be self-critical, though less so if we lucky enough to be away from our home turf xxx

Hahahaha - Yep I don't mind showing off the scrawny arms but do mind the scrawny legs - how mad LOL. Plus the arms are tanned but the legs look as they were dipped in Tippex............ :D xx
