Breathing problems Lyn12. But I guess if this is causing you pain it might help as a side effect. Have you been back to your doctors? if not I think you should as there may be something your dr could do about your pain. x

Good Morning Lyd12, My husband suffers with severe COPD and uses his inhalers to help with his breathing. Spiriva once in the morning to open his airways (last 24 hour), Symbicort which he uses four times a day - one puff each time which his a reliever and preventer and Ventolin (blue inhaler) or Bricanyl as instant releivers. These are not for pain. When he starts to feel a pain in his chest it is usually a sign of an infection. I would advise as coughalot1 does - to go to your Doctor and ask if there is anything that can help with the pain. Actually might be an idea to ring the helpline (click on the red balloon) before you go to the Doctor, they maybe able help. Good Luck, lots of love TAD xx

Pain is provoked by a strain on the muscles, say out of coughing. the Dr may ask you to breathe in and out, and it will be painful. Or it is an infection, Best to ask your doctor to rule this out.

I can usually spot an infection by a temperature in the evening and being off food and generally quite unwell. this last bout of pain lasted 4 days and today No painkillers. It's not sharp pain more intense soreness and follows a slight bleed. doctor just says don't use ibuprofen or aspirin as they thin the blood.
