sometimes these drugs will make it worse. call doc and tell him. I've been on so many and some work and some don't. I always go on-line and check each drug I take. Sometimes I have made an issue with some of these drugs. you have to really be your own doctor sometimes.

Best to let your doctor know that you're not getting on well with this inhaler. There are others available, and it may be a case of trial and error, until you find one that suits you best. Take care :) x

+when you take your inhaler always make sure you have a good gargle after,,inhalers can leave people with a sore throat,,,

It might just be coincidence if you are in environment with lots of people and there are bugs about. I had lots bad sore throats in my twenties and thirties . Then nothing for twenty years until I retired 5 years ago. Then lots more with quite bad chest infections and copd moderate (55!,.) diagnosis in October. Since stopping smoking and taking spiriva inhaler and a big TOUCH WOOD haven't had a chest infection. However I have had sinusitis for past 6 weeks. Roll on Summer weather . We might all feel better. Hope your throat and cough feel better soon. If not see doc .or nurse .I did about sinuses ...They dont think its related to copd .Best wishes.

Hi flowers, as chrissie says rinse and gargle after taking. I have been using it for years, good medication but with Symbicort you must rinse and gargle. have a nice day.

Could be you need to gargle with cool boiled water after your inhaler, that's what I was told, the powder can irritate the throat and cause you to cough. Try it and if no better see doctor. x good luck The pharmacist says you should always gargle after inhaling if possible.
