Evening.

Can anyone help me please had liquid oxygen delivered Monday. My husband managed to fill one on Tuesday for us to go out, but every time we try and fill them now it's only coming out when you take the cannula off where there are two connections, as soon as we put them on it stops what are we doing wrong.

It sounds like you have yours on demand flow. If so the type of flask you are usiing will need to be rested for 15 minutes after filling. The oxygen is only delivered to one nostril, with the other one used to sense breathing in. Sometimes one nostril does not work to well for this and if that is the case swop the two cannula around and then the other nostril will be the sensor and the oxygen delivered up the other one. Takes a little getting used to. You could also put it on free flow although of course the flask will not last as long. Hope this helps.

Hi Kimmy59, I use liquid oxygen for ambulatory purpose, my Husband always removes cannula before filling (don't think you have to do this) but make sure the little cylinder is pushed right down onto the large one, you can hear the difference in the sound when it's getting full, quite often it freezes on, so leave it for a while, we were told to leave it at least half an hour before putting back in bag as the ice sticks to bag, it does seem a bit stressful until you get used to it, but then it's easy, hope this has been of some help to you, my supplier is Air Liquide and they are very helpful on the phone if there are any problems, they will try an talk you through it. Good luck Gilliann
