Knowledge of English Language

Well you learn something new every day!

OR are reminded of its amusing nouns

The English language has some wonderfully anthropomorphic

collective nouns for the various groups of animals.

We are all familiar with a

Herd of cows,

Flock of chickens,

School of fish

And a Gaggle of geese, and

A Pride of lions.

However, less widely known is:

A Murder of crows

(as well as their cousins the rooks and ravens),

An Exaltation of doves

And, presumably because they look so wise:

A Congress of owls.

Now consider a group of Baboons.

They are the loudest, most dangerous, most obnoxious,

most viciously aggressive and least intelligent of all primates........

And what is the proper collective noun for a group of baboons?

Believe it or not … A Parliament

Pretty much explains everything doesn't it?

A Japanese couple are having an argument over ways of performing highly erotic sex:

Husband: Sukitaki.

Wife replies: Kowanini!

Husband says: Toka a anji rodi roumi yakoo!

Wife on her knees literally begging: Mimi nakoundinda tinkouji!

Husband replies angrily: Na miaou kina tim kouji!

I can't believe you just sat and tried to read this - as if you understand Japanese!

I knew you would read anything as long as it is about sex.

  • In defence of baboons, they are very intelligent, won't f*** with you unless you f*** with them (unless you're packing food) and look out for their own. This is libellous on baboons, comparing them to politicians.

  • A Congress of owls. Is that what we are? :-)

  • Tosho kiki!

I heard Japanese have some difficulty in saying the International words that represent the alphabet like, Alpha for A, Beta for B, etc,

When it comes to Fox Trot, they say "fokiso troty"!
