I have just read on another site that Richard Cornish aka King of the Cocktails has sadly passed away, he will be sorely missed and I would like to send my condolences to Mrs. King aka Patricia

i did not know him but anyone that liked mr cole has to be a good person ( he was the master ) no one could sing a tune like and i am old enough to remember nat king cole and he was the bees knees good thoughts to all his family

The King may have left us but he will in my mind always be the number 1 BLF Healthunlockeder. It was the King who stood out to me when I first joined the site with his warm welcome and great sense of humor.

I was so sad to hear about Richard. His jokes often made me smile, often made me laugh and every now and then say, DOH! This BLF site is full of sick people who often feel sad and depressed, but for a few minutes each day Richard brought happiness and laughter into their lives. Well done Richard, you will be missed mate.

This is the news we have all been dreading. I am so very sad to hear of the passing of a lovely, lovely dear man and friend to so many on this site. My condolences go to Patricia and to King's friends and family. Such a sad loss - a gentleman indeed.

Oh dear this is the saddest news don't know what to say and keep staring at the keyboard.I didn't know him long but in the few months that I knew him he supported and encouraged me in the stopping of smoking' with the help of his friend Will Power' His gift for bringing smiles and laughter to all of us on a daily basis will so be missed.He gave and then gave some more to us and so many more in and around his community.iam so glad to have known Kotc he made me a better person. I do hope that Patricia is able to gain comfort from the tributes to her husband of which there will be so many behind every great man there is a very great lady wife.Thankyou for sharing Patricia.xxx

I am so very very sad to hear this news. Although I didn't know Richard personally, only via this site, he seemed to me to embody everything that is good in this World. He made such a difference and touched so many of us. Thank you King for being such a wonderful friend. He brought sunshine to the greyest day. Sincerest condolences and much love to Richards family.

So sorry to hear such sad news, Richard made me feel very welcome when I joined this site and I really appreciated his Pms asking how I was and cheering me on when I stopped smoking, he made me smile with his daily jokes. I didn't know him but I know he was a gentleman in the true sense of the word and I will miss him.

Richard was a very uplifting character and his humour will be missed by us all. He was very supporting when I first joined and always had a cheery word when life was looking bleak. My condolences to his wife and family, I hope they take some comfort from all of his friends.

I can't believe he's gone. I used to look in to the site before work just to read his jokes to put a smile on my face before work. I am so sad. My condolences to his family we all love and miss him on here I know.

It has been sad to hear the news of Richard's death. He was a good ambassasor for this community - the Breathe Easy groups and the BLF Helpline - always promoting them positively.
He went out of his way to welcome new members and of course his regular humour posts brightened up many people's days.
He will of course be missed by this whole community.
If the opportunity arises I will try to pass on the comments made by members to Richards wife and family.

I was away for the weekend and only just picked this up. As a bit of a 'dipper' on this site, I loved his posts. His humour was something that would bolster me if I had a 'down' day. KOTC you were a real trooper, it was a privilege to have picked up some of your posts and humour.
