Would think they would want to do an Xray to make sure you are well again and hopefully no lasting damage to the lungs. But that is not always the case depends on the individual doctor or consultant. Hope you feel much better soon

Perhaps not. They tend not to do x-rays unless absolutely necessary. They can probably tell if it has cleared by listening to your chest and seeing how well you are.

I have had pneumonia several times in my life. It takes time to recover so you must rest when you need to.

Sorry to hear this, I've been exactly the same.

This winter has improved because I've learnt more about it from lovely people on here!

Drink plenty, take extra Vit C 3 times daily to support & boost your immune system which will by now, be depleted. Also take a probiotic as the antiBs will have killed off the good bacteria. When you're better, take a good multi Vit & mineral.

Pneumonia takes a long time to recover from, sometimes 3 months, that's why you need to give your immune system a boost urgently. Good luck

I was in hospital bnefore Christmas with pneumonia. I can't believe how weak I still feel. Have to do shopping online and even then I am shattered. I have developed another bad cough and hardly slept last night so I sympathise with you. I have a check up with my con on Monday and I think I have to get another xray to make sute the pneumonia has gone. M xx
