Glads thats over 2 days out of bed the whole off Xmas and New Year new meds taking a bit of gettin used to and a Trapped Nerve which was worse than my RA, I think I mentioned Mark is gettin married on the 15th June to Emma and out of the blue last night he asked me if i would be his Best Man I was speechless all i could say was why me his best friend was the best man from the beggining Fran was gobsmacked or she acted if she knew nothing about it. just watching him go down the aisle would have made me so proud of him theres me just hoping my health keeps getting better, Has anyone else out there heard of something similar I told him i would need a bit of time he looked a bit dissapointed, Would people think he was doing this out of symphathy.MATT

Hi Matt hope your feeling a good deal better,my son in law had his father as best man he said "your my best friend " when he asked him so accept that as a reason

take care Dorothy xxxx

NO he is not doing out of sympathy he is asking you because he loves you and wants you to be there. How wonderful to have just a great relationship with him - that he would want you to be his best man. You should be flattered and grateful - people will feel envious that you have such a good relationship TAD xxx

How lovely that Mark has asked you to be best man. He must think a lot of you. So hurry up and get those new medications and trapped nerve sorted out. I would even tell the doctor you have to be fit by June because your son is getting married. Its nice to have something cheerful to look forward to.

Kind Regards

Mandy

Oh my goodness Matt, Mark wants to make you happy and I am sure it would make him very happy if you would be his best man for the wedding. Please don't think that way about him doing it out of sympathy. I think your only concern would be if you can be feeling well enough on the day for this we can only all send thoughts your way for a feeling good day on 15th June so that all may enjoy a darn good bash celebrating Mark's and Emma's wedding day.

So sorry you have had a rough time over christmas and new year, but glad you are now feeling a little better. Keep on improving and here's to your good health for 2014.

Best wishes BC

I am sure that Mark would be so proud to have you as his best man Matt and that is why he asked you. All you have been through and yet you are still an inspiration to him, how wonderful is that. I truly hope that your health problems do not get in the way but knowing you, you won't let that happen.

Hope you are feeling better and such huge sympathies with the trapped nerve. Pete has terrible back problems at the moment with no end in sight except possibly surgery at some point. Oh well, onward and upward. Take care and love to Fran too. xxxxxx

Oh what a wonderful compliment Matt,I think you need to give him a big hug,for having such a loving & grateful son,he must be so proud you're his Dad,& you must be proud of him.No piffle about him being sorry for you!

Just make sure you're all ok for the big day,& we will be barracking for you all the way. What an incentive to make yourself feel better!

Glad you're feeling a little better, here's to a happy & healthier New Year! Love to you & Fran, Wendells xxxx

My friend's son asked his dad to be his best man because "you're the best mate anyone could have". Take him up on the offer and feel proud. x

Just posted on here, but it seems to have vanished. Our son had my husband as his best man, not out of sympathy, but out of love and respect. It bought them closer.

I wouldn't have thought that you were being asked to be best man out of sympathy, Matt. I think Mark appreciates you as a nice person so accept gladly and enjoy. So get on and accept, Matt. All the best for your health. Love pergola x

MC its got to be done and that's it. Mark is telling you that you are THE BEST MAN! to do the job :)

I know what you are saying about that trapped nerve, the one I had last year was the worst pain I have experienced ever, I got lucky with mine though and found an exercise that worked as rest was only making it worse.

Go for it MC, It'll be the best family day ever and a very good excuse for a few Guinness's, strictly for medicinal purposes of coarse. :)

Tony.

These are for your trainer and no 1 carer. xxx Keep up the good work Fran as I know he must be difficult :) :)
