Hi Everyone, Biddy here,

I just want to make you aware of a recent study by a PhD student at Loughborough University, into the role physical activity has on lung health. It is a Dept of Health funded study and brief details are attached. For more detailed information contact the number below.

Criteria is 40 - 75 years old and living in Leicestershire. Testing begins in January 2014.

Physical Activity and Respiratory Health (PhARaoH) Study

An observational study investigating the roles of physical activity and sedentary behaviours, and psychological and social factors in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients in order to inform strategies to delay COPD development or progression.

Yep till there is a cure .. lung excersise is a must as it as proven to help against restrictive pattern of lung scaring well and clearing secretions

A good opportunity for those living in Leicester.

I don't have any doubts myself having kept up with physical exercise since my PR course, I know where I would be if I hadn't as I went down hill fast before my diagnosis.
