Anybody else on Xolair?

Just wondering if how many other folks have been put on Xolair. My Resp Consultant put me on it in May 2012. This was after my Asthma was making me end up in ICU and vented several times. As it it I am on practically everything else foor my 'irritable' chest. Since being on the ;magic' Xolair my hospital admissions have greatly reduced.

It s good to know you're having fewer hospital admissions Taffy. I'm afraid I don't know anything about that drug though.

All the best

Hi I am suprised that I've only had one reply . Thank you by the way for yours. To give a quote I said to my Resp Nurse " I don't feel like a patient any more". Cant believe I'm the ONLT bod on Xolair. What can I say? Did you know it costs the NHS £3000 to look after someone they go into A and E and Resus and ITU and then the ward. It cost £2000 a jab when someone is put on Xolair.

I'm on my third round this time, haven't seen a difference yet but my chest physician says it can take up to 16 weeks to see an effect, if there is one. They hurt like hell though :(
