Actors David Harewood and Linda Robson support the Smoking in Cars campaign

We are very happy to announce that we have launched two videos on smoking in cars with children. They feature actors David Harewood and Linda Robson, who in a break from their previous acting roles, see them providing voices for toddlers, highlighting the need to give a voice to the children in the UK who are regularly exposed to second-hand smoke in cars.

The two actors have lent us their voices in the videos ahead of a debate in the House of Lords to introduce an amendment in the Children and Families Bill that could ban smoking in cars when a child is present.

You can watch Linda’s video here and David’s video here Please do feel free to share them on Twitter, using the hashtag #smokingincars, and Facebook.

Thank you!

  • I like Linda Robson, but have never heard of David Harewood. Nice to know they are both helping though. Trouble is, when I try to open the links I get - "The resource cannot be found" ?????????

  • Hi Toci,

Sorry to hear this - there seems to have been a problem with the links. I've fixed this now, can you try again and see if they work?

David Harewood is a British actor who is best known for his role in hit US drama 'Homeland' but has also appeared in British shows such as Doctor Who, Robin Hood.

  • Yes, working now. Thanks :)

  • That is brilliant news. I look forward to seeing the videos - unfortunately I had the same problem as Toci when I clicked on the links.

  • Excellent - it reminded me very much of the video where the children had smoke coming out of their mouths - I thought that very effective.
