The mind is a strange thing

Here's another trick of Doctor Dementia to test your skills...Can you meet this challenge? I've seen this with the letters out of order, but this is the first time I've seen it with numbers. Good example of a Brain Study: If you can read this OUT LOUD you have a strong mind. And better than that: Alzheimer's is a long long, way down the road before it ever gets anywhere near you.

Only great minds can read this This is weird, but interesting!

If you can raed this, you have a sgtrane mnid, too.Can you raed this? Olny 55 people out of 100 can. I cdnuolt blveiee that I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd what I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it dseno't mtaetr in what oerdr the ltteres in a word are, the olny iproamtnt tihng is that the frsit and last ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can still raed it whotuit a pboerlm. This is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the word as a wlohe. Azanmig huh? Yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt!

  • This message serves to prove how our minds can do amazing things. Impressive things. In the begging it was hard, but now on this line your mind is reading it automatically without even thinking about it, be proud only certain people can read this.please forwardif you can read this.

  • I saw what you did there :)

  • I've seen similar before. Still find them to be an interesting excercise. Hardest one though is to read a five minute morse transmission with out writing it down. I could never quite do that at a normal speed. (1 character per second).

  • I could never read morse in my head I had to write it down. I took my morse test at what was then the Portishead Radio station. I had to do 12 words a minute minimum TX & RX

  • I did mine at Anglesea Radio Station in 1982. GW4WBL.

  • G0DCZ My first HF key contact was a guy from the Federal States of Micronesia on an old 1947 valve rig.

  • s made me think there is some hope for me yet, even though I put the wrong bins out last week having looked up 2014 on the calendar and put them out yesterday to be emptied not today but tomorrow. The mind is such a strange thing. enjoyed reading it Joyce

  • I am an avid reader so often if there are uninteresting bits I skim over them and speed read so I find these things easy. Good practise though to keep your mind alert.

  • I tried speed reading a big book once but my passengers said I should keep my eyes on the road and slow down ;)

  • Me too silversurfer!

  • Me three Mocarey!

  • I wonder if the texters of today will have this sort of skill, now or in the years to come as the won't have a proper grasp of spelling for their minds to work it out. Mirror image reading is an other one to try.

  • the texters of today will evolve extra large thumbs Carrieme

  • At first I did not think I would be able to do it but I could as It got further down I got faster and faster as if I did not want to look to hard in case I could not read it. Interesting.

  • Few stumbles in the list, but managed to read your message all through offcut, so only a little ga ga or it could be the pills or should it be PILS (smiles). nice way to start the day with a bit of brain stimuli thanks

    KOTC

  • Thank you!

My mind seems like the only thing working at the moment ;)

  • Hi Offcut.

I read it without any problems. Does this mean I shall never get Alzheimer's?!

If so, one less thing to worry about!

    Stay well

    Tamara

  • Bilrlaint I love this, must show it to my neatenin year old smart arse son.

  • I have seen similar too but it is still I agree amazing - thank you - no fear of a computer or robot take over yet methinks - bet they can't do it!

  • I had no problem reading this. Pity my lungs don't work as well as my brain!

  • My goodness how refreshing. I am going thro that horrible period of dividing assets not a divorce but realisation that the split has to happen after 23 years and one of you have to move out. Love turns to hate. But at 63 and looking good keeping active going to Curves swimming most days and going to the spa...roll on Spring and where shall I be?

  • Thats very sad Towse but brilliant that you are doing so well and looking foward to the future! M

  • Thank you. After my spiel yesterday I wake up with a black cloud so no doubt I shall have days like this off and on. You know when you want something to end. You have one that wants to fight and not be reasonable.the other person just wants a quiet life.

  • I did It fine, as said before getting quicker as I went on, So why do I forget shopping, or what I have gone into a particular room for, x

  • going into another room and forgetting is the brains way of clearing rubbish in the head. If you think back to the room that you got the thought it can come back?

  • Hi Offcut

Fascinating ....love this kind of thing

    Thanks for this

Ive copied it and will be showing it to people at work on Monday .... cant wait to see who can / cant do it

    Fab post
