Hi Kimmy.

Just read your post. I have been on Strontium (Protelos) for the last five years so so.

I have to say that I did not experience any bad symptoms.

However, the latest bulletin issued about three months ago by the makers states that it now causes heart failure and should only be prescribed by bone specialists for people with severe bone damage. My local GP also sent me a letter stating this. I stopped taking it and am looking for an alternative to help my osteoporosis.

Has anyone any recommendations?

That doesn't sound good is protelos the same as Ranelate do you think that's what I'm taking.

It's the brand name ignore me, my doctor never mentioned it when I spoke to him about my blood shot eye.
