WHAT DEEP THINKERS WE MEN ARE

I am sat here looking out the window at the garden with a nice cup of tea.

Not a very good day but the warming cup of tea facilitated some deep thinking.

My wife came into the room and asked me what I was doing and I said

''nothing''.

The reason I said that instead of saying ''just thinking''

is because she would have said ''about what?''

At that point I have to explain that I am a deep thinker about various topics

which would lead to other questions.

Finally I thought about an age old question:

Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the nuts?

Women always maintain that that giving birth is way more painful

than a guy getting kicked in the nuts.

Well ,after another cuppa, and some deductive thinking,

I think I have come up with the answer to that question.

Getting kicked in the nuts is more painful than having a baby;

and here is the reason for my conclusion.

A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say,

''It might be nice to have another child.''

On the other hand, you never hear a guy say,

''You know, I would like another kick in the nuts.''

I rest my case. Time for another cuppa.

Hmmmm, I don't suppose nuts (kicked or otherwise) keep you awake for months on end. I think I might prefer a kick in the nuts but then I would have just had swollen nuts and no kids or grandkids. Not much to love about swollen nuts, no one would want to see photos or tickle under the chin. Alison

Well done! You should do a blog on your journey from diagnosis, prognosis, all you've done to improve your circumstances and how this compares to your original diagnosis and prognosis, have you worsened or improved since then, etc. I think it would be inspirational to members here and maybe encourage some to bite the bullet and ask for PR. I did two separate courses a few years ago but when last offered it was found to be unsuitable (past me sell by date - ha ha!). In fact, there should be a separate category for inspirational blogs, sorry, posts, as I have read one or two recently. Give it a go! Sadie xx

King a kick in the nuts produces nothing but having a baby produces something wonderful, that is why we are happy to bear the pain, also men are such wimps anyway I'm sure a kick in the nuts doesn't hurt that much.

You made me lol out loud ,you are funny .Try this for size see how this compares .28 hour labour very painful then rushed for emergency c section and the anesestetic did not work so I'm feeling all the cutting but can't let them know because I'm paralysed can't move an eyelid .Painful traumatic ,it was 7years before I plucked up courage to have another child by epidural they wouldn't let me have a general .So what you think of that xx

not having nuts I wouldn't know, but my first child was 37hrs in labour, but 2nd 1hr and my third 10mins so perhaps kicked in the nuts maybe worse, I wish a progamme called you been framed I am appalled at how

many children do kick men in the nuts and on purpose jan

Well I had a third actually .I see I cannot win this debate ,but would rather have a kick you know where tha suffer the mental torture I went through for years and still have nightmares.Enough said .good night all ,well I say good ight but I can't sleep in a lot of pain .
