Docs Arghhhhhh

Been to the Docs realised that I was seen my immunologist tomorrow, sloped shoulders and told well the immunologist will see you tomorrow and see what he says.

You know it is probably the heat. How the hell can you get a chest infection from the heat. Thats like wet leaves on the line so trains cannot go.

Oh by the way forgot to tell you that in June you had community acquire pneumonia.

Thanks doc your so bloody helpful

Shout and yell to your heart's content there Graeme, don't blame you in the slightest ! Community acquired pneumonia? Eeeek did you get that from here? Good of him to tell you. Chin up - hopefully the immunologist will be better at communication. :) xx

One time whenKeith was taken to hospital they said he had community acquired pneumonia - as far as we could tell it just meant 'you didn't get it in here!' I don't think it is anything specific.......

in reply to Gidge

Gidge I have pneumonia a good few times

and now seemingly you can only get two types

community acquired pneumonia -'you didn't get it in here!'

or

Hospital acquired pneumonia meaning sorry but you got that one here .

hank goodness my immunologist is a brilliant consultant .On my first consultation with him was over an hour a gave me a full MOT. Instead of just looking at my blood results he sat down and over a 6 week period he discovered that I have a rather rare problem with my blood Versus antibodies and basically I have got little or no antibodies in my blood hence infections. My immunologist has start giving me 3 weekly immu goplin (antibody) replacement therapy for life so at least it will be a joy to see him tomorrow.Second transfusion next Tuesday

At least I have faith in the immunologist

So sorry that you too have a doc who seems to care so little. Yell at me as much as you need to get it out. At times I get quite depressed with the lack of concern. Even ED staff have been surprised at the lack of action so i have an idea of how frustrating it is. Hope tomorrow's person will be helpful. :-) :-) Alison

Thank you Alison

It is frustrating , however

Oh for heavens sake. That is awful.

I can relate so much to your annoyance . . I suffer from UC as well as COPD, I go

to the Docs or my specialist and they come out with the same advice,

the same meds over and over again. It just does not work for me . . so on going probs.

scream and cry and you can bet I will be on the other end screaming

and yelling with you. Argh . . to go the docs these days you have to look

up your problems on line/ google, yet when you tell them you have taken this

avenue they look down on you. Idiots . . . .

You take care xx Ros xx

Sorry to hear that, but best wishes for tomorrow. I'd tell you to yell, scream & stamp your feet, but really, it's too much effort in this heat :) Praying that your immunoligist is more helpful. Keep cool in this heat :d Judy x

hi judy my immunologist is fantastic and already discover that i havea rare problem where my blood is not producing antibodies so he has already started me on immugoblin (antibodie) replacement. theraphy were i get antibodie transfusions every three weeks for life. next week is my second session . he says that i should see a difference in a couple of months albeit a small difference. no need to stamp and shout tomorrow. thanks judy

Sorry to hear your still poorly Graeme, but no wonder really if you are getting over pneumonia and then suffer a chest infection. Would have been nice to know earlier from the Doctor that you had pneumonia. Really hope it goes well for you tomorrow with the immunologist consultant. Like you say at least you trust him. Good Luck
