Does anyone ever forget to take their morning meds.

So cross last night. I took out my tab wallet and instantly saw my morning meds. Slapped wrists. Ritual in the morning means putting out meds and puffers. I know I had was distracted from my routine. Checked my B/P which wasn't too bad. Is anyone else so careless. Love Annieseed x

Morning Annie, yes have done the same on occasion - distracted or memory going, not sure which sometimes. The worst is the Symbicort inhaler, I find I'm often not sure if I have or haven't taken it. If I find my breathing a bit worse for no apparent reason, I make the assumption that I haven't. xx

I was suspicious wandering around Tesco when I didn't need any loo stops! Life can become pathetic, cant it!!

Hi Annie

If you put your meds on top of the tea tin or coffee jar you wont forget them in the morning.

I have not forgotten my morning meds (or night time ones) because I sit with them for my first (and last) drink of the day. But I often forget the middle of the day dose.

lol annie - just nearly forgot my tablet, done the puffers, got ready to go out and downstairs waiting for my lift and just remembered it, just as well cos I noticed I'd left this laptop on too.

never forgotten the inhalers though.

Hi Anna, I sometimes forget mine as well. There is nothing worse than having a really bad day and then at night realising you forgot your meds. I now use google calender and set reminders which it texts to

my mobile at regular intervals. It is free and a big help.

I do occasionally forget my morning meds but I have got a good routine of taking them before and with breakfast. I put my tablets on the table next to my bed so they are there when I wake up, then my inhaler is next to the kettle.

The ones I tend to forget are the afternoon ones for my thyroid etc. Then I usually remember my bedtime ones too because I leave the bottles next to the bedside lamp.

When I am on steroids and antibiotics I nearly swallowed my Spiriva capsule as well, anyone else done that@

Yes and apparently it is quite common especially when people are taking numerous tablet at the same time. The first time I did it I phoned the doc in a panic and he laughed said I wasn't the first and certainly wouldn't be the last and no harm is done as long as you don't make a habit of it

Yes, I have swallowed a spiriva capsule. Phoned the pharmacist. No ill effect but wouldn't repeat|||

Never able to forget any of my medications Annie, as I've alarms set on my phone for each specific time for the meds to be taken.

My respiratory nurse gave me a timetable for my meds, and I've put that on a spreadsheet, and tick off the meds daily when taken.

I've found that I'm more in control of my medications, and can easily pinpoint any changes with drugs added or removed .... great help not only for me, but for my doctors and nurse.

I take 7 tablets in the morning 4 in the middle of the day and 5 going to bed it's the ones in the middle of the day I forget to take. Dr said occasionally missing those won't cause any harm.

Sounds stupid, but my biggest problem is remembering if I've taken them or not! I try to keep to odd/even tablets with the ones in blister packs but sometimes forget.
