Well done, I won mine about 6 months ago, but had to fight all the way. 3 applications turned down. Then an ATOS doctor came out to see me. The only information he had about me was that I had COPD!!!! He actually showed me the form he had to fill in with that alone typed on it!! No forms or any other information about my illness or how it affected my daily life!! He stayed about an hour, lots of relevant questions regarding my illness, all the answers which of course were in the previous application forms which he had never seen!! It beggars belief that a qualfied doctor is just given so little information about us & our illness & how it affects us. Why do we fill in pages of questions? Obviously it is just the luck of the draw if we manage to get it first time as my case proves. He did tell me that the application form is not always looked at by a medical practitioner, just a panel! How on earth do they know anything about our illness's & how it affects us!! I was fortunate to get such a super doctor who actually couldn't believe I had been turned down!! Government again it seems. So unfair. Glad to hear youv'e been successful. To everyone else, keep re-applying, we are not scrounging just want help to live a reasonable life after years of working hard and now having to cope with this horrible illness.

Great news MC, I've been away on a 4 day mini break with the family to a place called Combe Martin in North Devon. The only trouble was I wasn't too good myself as I have a chest infection that's come with cold flu like symptoms as well as the usual coughing up buckets of gunk. Like everything I get its lingering on as my immune suppressants stop my immune system from dealing with the problem.

Anyway on my return its good to see you have had success with your claim and I'm sure your post will give hope to others.

If your anything like me, you probably won't see any of the money as my banker/wife, Sharon soon finds a safe place in her purse for it. :)

Tony.

Hi Tony, Sorry to hear you have not been to well but I am sure you will be breaking more records soon, I had no option but to step up my steroids 13 days of severe pain was enough I feel the difference already this morning will fight the docs later, have a great weekend still not been on the bike yet, talking DLA funny enough Fran has a sleekit smile on her face as we head to the shops will have to do some serious acting to get out of this M8, MC
