Tomorrow morning I will be having my yearly (fourth) check-up at the Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske since having surgery at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth for lung cancer in 2009.
I am a really positive person so I'm sure that tomorrow everything will be fine and dandy and the lovely Mr Awan (the Surgeon) will tell me that I am still in remission.
If I manage to live six years after my surgery then I mess up the medical statistics!!!!!!!
I hope that none of you has lung cancer but, if you do, then I am proof that things can be OK.

That's OK then. Are they big enough to ward off my cats? McDuff (he's 14 years old) is out in the garden stalking a wren (little sod!!! I mean the cat's the little sod not the wren).
I scotched Kevin's evil plans for the bird population with two bells on his collar - take that evil cat ! The unicorns are too busy prancing around looking pretty to be effective LOL xx
I've tried the collar and bells - you try getting a collar with bells on my (huge) McDuff!!!! I haven't managed to get a collar on him and I'm not going to try again because I really need both of my hands (preferably not shredded).

McDuff came from a rough bit of Cornwall - St Day (I'm going to be killed for saying that). My other cat, Sparky, came from Truro (posh bit of Cornwall).
Sparky plays the 'cute card'. McDuff plays the 'If I have the chance I'll kill you card'.
My son is due to have his bowel 'repair' op in August. He seems to be getting over Laura leaving him and is now back at work. I really appreciate you thinking of him.
I was lucky(!) when one of my good friends, Joanne, gave me 'flu (she reckons that she saved my life by giving me 'flu - I think she is right). Because I was so unwell and didn't recover I was sent to Treliske and from there to Derriford for the operation (no cancer ops down here in Cornwall).

As a treat, after my appointment, I'm going to pop into Sainsbury's to buy a couple of bottles of wine. (I think that I should really get a life. lol).
We are great thank you, especially since I finally got rid of my infection, after 8 weeks! I don't post a lot, but we will see when the new site comes in next week. Thank you for your very kind words xx
Hello Anne, well you are certainly making me feel hopeful and more positive as I have got a mass in my neck and they are querying cancer of the lung.I am having a thorax and abdomen scan on Saturday (I had Bronchoscopy the Tuesday before last), I will get results next Thursday.I will be totally with you tomorrow, willing you a big positive outcome.All the love in the world Genexxxx
I hope that things go well for you. I think that the word 'cancer' is such an emotive and scary word.
Before I was diagnosed I thought that cancer equalled death. Not so! In the majority of cases the outcome is good. I'm not telling you fairy stories.
My son, David, was diagnosed with bowel cancer last September (18th) and had an op at the end of September. He (David) has finished his six months of chemotherapy and is due to go back to BRI in August to have his bowel joined up again. The only problem with David's treatment was that he had to have a second op three days after the first one - the second op was to remove something that had been left inside him!!!! It was just an awful mistake and he is well on the mend now.
Please do not worry until the medical profession tell you to worry. I wish you all the luck in the world and hope that the outcome is good for you and your family.
Things are getting better. Husband is off on sports holiday for three weeks (yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and my boy is coming down from Bristol for the weekend.
I do love my old man to bits but I love him better when he is away from home (lol).

I'm sure that I'll be given the 'all clear' again. I'll be absolutely floored if they say anything else. I'm not going to have any more operations whatever they say.
I'm finding it difficult to believe that so many people are so kind. I think I'll have to have a whisky (I've just opened a bottle of Laphroaig (spelling ?) and had a huge helping in my coffee. My true love will kill me if he finds out - he thinks I should stick to blended whisky for my coffee.
Sh*t!!!!!!! I've just Googled 'Laphroaig' and he paid £57 plus for the bottle he bought. How dare he spend so much money on a bottle of whisky that tastes of peat!
He will kill me!!! He hasn't noticed that I got rid of his 'Glenfiddich'. Some of you may remember when I opened that bottle.
Anyway, I hope you all, including you Koala, are well and enjoying this beautiful evening.
Haha! That is certainly quite expensive but some people really love their whisky I love brandy in hot chocolate, yummy.

It takes a very special person to c....... up the statistics and you are just the one to do it. So good luck for tomorrow and I think I'd hide, you're not even supposed to put ice in Laphroaig!
I have three weeks (my other half is away for three weeks after tomorrow) to think up a good reason for drinking his Laphroaig. To my way of thinking, anyone who spends over £50 on a bottle of whisky is sixpence short of a shilling!!!
I think of you often and hope that things will take a turn for the better. If anyone deserves better then it is you.
I really appreciate that you and all these other people are thinking of me.

Tomorrow, my other half is taking me to my hospital appointment and then to Sainsbury's for some plonk. He will then drive me home and go off for his holiday.
In the evening, my gorgeous son will be coming down for the weekend (although I don't suppose I'll see much of him - he usually gos off down to The Lizard to see his friends).
