Hopscoch, 2 ball,swapping beads that we kept in a tin, they were all plastic but treasure to us at the time skipping...... happy days

Marbles (my special one was a big ball bearing, no one had any chance against it!)

You had a Bolly,I had a big glass cats eye.
Jacks was my all time favourite - knuckes skinned most days because we played on the hard concrete so the ball would bounce properly LOL

I loved the clackers Tina but my knuckles were always sore LOL I saw them recently in a local toy shop

I remember clackers too loved them but they drove my mum and dad mad. My brother was always into those chemistry sets and football stickers, they used to take it so seriously when doing swopsies I used to go climbing trees and scrumping apples too great fun

All of the above plus trespassing and exploring off limits territories. Climbing wood barns and anything that would been banned by elf and safety. Awful kids but we didn't harm anyone. Truth and dare!!! Jumping off the second floor of a half built house. I Sprained my ankle badly. What else ..just loved life and for the Nazis ..we would sorted them out if they came to the UK. Much later..invasion by Tescos ..gave up on that one.

Nice one seedy, i don't remember ww2 wasn't born but i do remember playing in old air raid shelters, and trespassing, egging, loaching and poaching, being chased by the water bailiff with few trout or nice sized salmon down my kecks, good fun,
we called it truth or dare too annie, and trespassing was usually the dare, knock down ginger (more fun in the tower blocks as you could go a few floors in the lift and listen through the vent as they swore at you), slapsies, fishing down the gutter drains.

That's what we called loaching, got shot in the arse once with rock salt, i was up three, my so called mates saw the owner and pissed off, it hurts, rather have had dix of the best.

on of my nan's is from manchester so have family there - big cousins and litlle ones, stayed in wales too more cousins lol our family liked to get about a bit lol

Tying jumping iacks to brush handles and chasing people with them on bonfire night
We used to tie string to two opposite neighbors doors then stand in the middle and knock both doors at once ..... the fun started when they opened the doors .... we used to roll on the floor laughing (hidden of course) .... oh and hiding up trees in camouflage and whispering when someone walked by .... (really hard to suppress the giggles this one produced)

what about mischievous night, what did you get up to? I used to tie string from the door handle to the dustbin lid, and smear jam on car door handles, remember been caught by someone once and he chased me for about 5 miles, didn't catch me but he would now LOL!
Making a Guy Fawkes and collecting money to buy fireworks.
And chumping, (collecting wood for bonfire night) I used to love this night, each street would have their own, and every house would contribute something, either food, toffee apples or fireworks, old sofas were placed around the fire and as the night wore on they were burnt. Inevitably, someones fence caught fire.

I remember building a bonfire at that back of a mates house in th car park, fire brigade came out and made us pull half of it down, must admit it was a bit big, as for guyfawkes, we used mates brother and my sisters pram, the amount of people who didn't realise it was terry in the pram was funny especially when he put his hand out for the penny's,
there used to be right miserable bloke in our street, he always parked hi car so my dad couldn't get ours up the drive, so one year we chained his rear axle to the lamppost, he knew it was me but couldn't prove it,
i sometimes look back and wonder how the heck we survived it all, especially the war games at bailrigg reservoir, rubber pellets, hurt like hell when you got shot, the rope swings, and the diving tree, thinking about it, it was a bit like Swallows and Amazons, only a lot more painful,
I used to play Dustman's knock. It was like postman's knock only muckier.
