Dave's nightmare

On Thursday Dave feeling very breathless, ended up calling paramedics who were most unhelpful said his chest was clear and he was panicking,to go for something to carm him down.seen and admitted to hospital.He has pneumonia, within 1 hour he has collapsed and is iin ITU on a ventilator.Not looking good please pray for him.Christine (wife)

The same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago, I had been unwell for a number weeks but chest was clear. It was all upper respiratory with me. After 4 lots antibiotics, seeing countless doctors, chest xray, blood test, all in the week leading to my collapse. I even had visit from the respiratory team the day I collapsed. Paramedics said my chest was clear but admission to hospital I was soon diagnosed with pneumonia. I a young 48 & although I have copd I manage everyday. We all need to be aware of this illness & no matter how much they tell us the chest is clear we know ourselves when we are suffering, keep pushing the medical staff & do not take any chances. I pray for Dave & hope he gets the treatment now hhe is in the right place. I just wanted to make everybody aware of this

Hi Christine, This is the 1st time i have written anything, I normally just read and learn from other peoples comments, but thought the paramedics were just too casual I hope you have made a complaint to the relevant authorities and I hope and pray your husband recovers quickly. I know the feeling of not being able to get your breath, it is frightening.
