Hiatus hernia

Y does my hiatus hernia sometimes affect my breathing?My sats r good,peak flow grt,I don't understand,could it b the pollen?

My guess is because:

"A hiatus hernia, or hiatal hernia, is when part of the stomach squeezes into the chest through an opening in the diaphragm called the hiatus." ****

bound to affect breathing.

Although pollen and air pollution also affects breathing. Reflux may also play a part.

Been bad since wed, gonna get checked out at t,time, all these probs,I'm so fed up

I have had a hiatus hernia for over 20 yrs now,,,dr,s keep telling me the hole is to small, so refuse to operate,,how can something so small cause so much pain,,,but the best way to control it is eat little and often,,,i have certain foods that set me of, so tend to leave heavy foods alone,,and not eat after 7pm,i do miss a wee tipple of baileys though,,the cream is fine,,just the whisky in it not good for me,,,but it has never caused me breathing problems,,i have emphasyma,,have a chat with your doc,,i take omeprazle with my tablets,it counteracts reflux,,,ope you find the cause

I had Hiatus Hernia round about 40 years wont operate due to germs have to cut stomach off for 3months dont mean cut in cut but cart take food in big RISK. I have copd had it for 9 years pooly with it cart do much .Also broncectisis which is serious
