I'm sorry I can' help, have you tried asking your G.P. or the BLF Helpline team? Possibly someone here can help if they have had problems themselves with iron deficiency.

Hi Iron Is Complex Business Really ... Consensus Is Most People Have Different Levels ... Depends What You Are Like And Symptoms .... But I Assume Your Doc Give You Pills And Told You To Cut Caffeine Out

Long And Short Is Depending On Your Condition Pills Or Injections ... And In Extreme Cases Blood Transfusion

If Worried Or Just Need More Info Give BLF Call Email

Al The Best :)

Iron level is a vague term. Generally it refers to red blood cell count, which is how oxygen is carried throughout your body. So, if low, you will be very low energy. 4 is low in the USA, and would require a blood transfusion. Drink dark grape juices and dark leafy greens. Also eat anything high in vitamin C, which helps your body absorb iron. I'm surprised you are walking around. I would ask why your level is so low. Blessings to you!

Ask Doc About Talking Vitamin B12 But Don't Take Unless You Have Asked GP ... As Might Be No Good As Taking Iron Tablets

I Take B12 And To Be Honest Felt Bad Before A Was Taking Them Pretty Much How You Describe .... Do Now Have Tad More Energy

to pamela 67 my blood was on 7 and that is very low i had to have an emergency blood transfusion 4 units of blood given i felt awfull at the time so in my opinion pamela you should have a blood transfusion i would push it if i was you i am now on 650ml of iron tablets for the rest of my life it does not matter what you eat as you could not make the amount of blood up because you are so low i did not know what was the matter with me at the time as i could not breath properly either and having a lung operation 53 years ago did not help either i do hope you get sorted out soon as you must feel dreadfulland it is also extreamly dangerous too i hope this helps you a bit from marguarita
