After writing I'm back a couple of weeks ago saying pneumonia had gone and I was feeling better, well I'm not!!
A couple of days after I started to cough, feel terribly unwell etc.
I've now been on 3 weeks on antibiotics and steroids and my GP today said if no improvement I have to be admitted to hospital tomorrow. I have an antibiotic I've not had before, I always have Cefalexin as I tolerate it well. I'm allergic to penicillin and most antibiotics give me vile side effects. I'm now on ciprofloxacin 500mg three times a day and 60mg of prednisilone.
Doctor is phoning me tomorrow afternoon and if no improvement he is sending an ambulance for me.
I so don't want to go I can't tell you.
I'm fed up to the back teeth of all this, it's week after week after week this year. I'm not one to get depressed or maudlin but this has really annoyed me!!
Anyway, thought I'd let you all know why I've not been around since my last blog saying alls well!!M

So sorry to hear you are still suffering, I know you don't want to but just maybe hospital may be the best place. IV antibs etc could really help get the last of those pesky bugs and send you home better. Thinking of yoy, get well soon.

So sorry to hear this Mike, I hope the meds will have you feeling a little better by tomorrow when the doc phones, keeping my fingers crossed for you and hope the drugs will knock it on the head, sharpish.
It is certainly a pain having to go back into hospital but the options are worse. I wish you all the best no matter which road you go down.

Sorry to hear that Mike,hope you feel better soon.Pneumonia can take a while to recover from.My very healthy daughter,was treated for it,a little while back,& rebounded on her,nasty,do hope you kill it off,once & for all.
Hospital may be your best option as they will be able to give you IV antibiotics which may be the only thing that will clear it up properly. Good luck and keep your chin up, it won't last forever!

Oh Mike that is such a bummer. Cipro is excellent (unfortunately I can't tolerate it). Sometimes IV's are the best way to go. Don't they do home IVs where you live?
