Iv had a hiatus hernia and asthma for quite a while,however lately iv noticed my chest can b a it tight,contacted Blf helpline ,they said as my peak flow and says we're good that the hh could play a part in this by pressing on my diaphragm which controlls breathing ,my gp agreed ,iv never heard of this before,has anyone else hav the same prob

Yes i have a sliding hh and it does cause me to have breathing problems especially after eating

i noticed u fry a lot of food ,thats a no with hitus ,cud u not do sausages in oven i do,i use the oven for most things,grease an hitus do not mix
What medication are you on, louise. I take emaprazol, avoid certain foods, and eat hours before I go to bed. There is an association between HH and chest conditions.

I have HH and emphysema, I take laprazole (well something like that)I had a bad weekend of it but o.k. this morning hope it keeps that way and yes when it is acting up I am more breathless.

im same hitus plays uo chest gos tight like a grip,i now take raperprozle after 9yr being on ompromozle,got go hope hoz nxt week for tubes up nose ,home for 24 hr with them see wats wat,but wont no for 4week the results be sent to thameside wer i have to go,

Ok I had endoscopy for that a few weeks ago,u know camera down throat,never heard of tubes up ur nose,my go did mention if it didn't settle I could have surgery by keyhole,I must admit its being a bloody pain at the mo,feels like iv swallowed a golf ball,I am also being treated for depression also and he said anxiety could have some bearing on it too,

oh did that to me 9yr ago i threw it out so they noked me out,the tubes so dc said is to monitor u 24 hrs ave them in till go bak nxt day,thers a camera on end of tubes,anxiety stress play a part but if we didnt have to wait so long there b no need for half of worry,will only do surgery if 100 per cent needed and its keyhole 1 of them thats nothin i had gall surgery last yr good in an home 24 hrs

I opted for sedation so didn't know a thing about it,the last 1i had a few yrs ago was horrendous
I'm not far from u,I live just down the rd from royton,

keyhole op.ur in then little thearte then wake up in bed in ward,home t time,just bak from royal oldham ad mammagram tuesday ad go bak 2day for hovergram thats few needles painless go bak monday for results uncomfortabe but painless,the worse was hearin the sound like a pellet gun for each needle goin in,ad 5 .put dressing on keep dry for 48hrs
Ugh gone down with a throat inf,wat next I wonder this year,I'm so sick of all these bloody infections all the time
