Hi Guys! I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about the Bronchoprovication test, specifically the end result. I had my test a few weeks ago and I won't get the results until the end of June!
My test was absolutely fine, and I had NO reaction to the inhaled substances at all...so that leads me to confirm what I always believed I do not have asthma!!
But, what I wonder about is when the technician gave me the recovery inhaler my flow went up a fair bit...so now I wonder and worry in case my specialist reads this and decides based on the end result I do have asthma!
So my question is "Does any one here know what this means? "

It should of course read Bronchoprovication lol sorry for incorrect spelling.
I had it about ten years ago and reacted very strongly, but then again, I have had asthma since early childhood. The doctors doing the test didn't have my medical records from England though because the test was in Germany.
Maybe the inhaler afterwards was like Ventolin, in that it helps asthmatics, but also those with other lung conditions. It felt like Ventolin to me when I took it that day. I'm guessing though!

Bronchodilators work for normal healthy lungs too. Just not as much! I seem to remember you need to show a 15% reversibility or more to indicate asthma.
Thanks guys! I'm fairly sure that it was ventolin... I guess that is what I am asking Kevin, would a inhale of ventolin change my breathing ability for the better even if I don't have asthma?
