Naughty naughty but could not resist the title ,been sitting in the conservatory watching the blue tits going back and forth to the bird box to build a nest .They come back year after year and i get a lot of pleasure watching them
One year one of the blue tits spent a long time pulling a bit of string inside the box then along came the other one and promptly pulled it out must have been the female !!
Hope you are all having a good day

This morning there was a little tit (not mine) in the cat run collecting the fur. My heart was in my mouth but my two were just watching it then it flew out through the netting and straight into the overhanging ivy where it is nesting. It was lovely to watch
Next door have two cats the y sit on the garage roof and watch ,but only when the young are born thats when i get my big water pistol out ,well i have to protect my babies!!
My grandson thinks im a bit dotty having this big water pistol
I haven't seen many blue tits in my garden this year - usually I see lots. I have a blackbird nesting in the garden and I have seen a couple of thrushes. I love watching the birds (so do my two cats - thankfully McDuff and Sparky are too old (13 years) and too lazy to do anything to the birds)
It's a very quite Sunday afternoon here - I do need to do a bit of hoovering but it seems so wrong to make such a noise on such a beautiful day. Perhaps I'll do it late this evening.
At the moment, all I can see is a seagull now and again and a few crows.
,j had a monkey puzzle tree in the front garden with a nesting box ,they had a mortgage on that but the tree got two big so i had it cut down then put the box on the side of the garage not thinking they would come back and find the nesting box .
hope you and your family are all ok take care love Dorothy xxx
The highlight of my day yesterday was looking out my open living room window and watching the buzzards riding a thermal in the hot sun ... so majestic, and that wing-span is huge. It's been quite a while since I've seen this; I do hope they are catching enough prey to feed their young.
The blue tits in my garden are highly intelligent, the fly south
Years ago I had two cats from the same litter. (They lived to the age of 20) Anyway, Skippy would lay in the sunshine just watching the birds. Her sister Smartie was always stalking them and had to be shouted at quite often. Strange the difference in behaviour in sisters.
While I was busy in the garden a Robin paid a call to try for worms, don't usually see them at this time of year more in the winter.A local black and white cat came to see me too but didn't stay long. It's nice to see nature in such an industrial urban area, my daughter has a cat called smartie,it's because she is all different colours.
Yes i have seen a robin lately ..My great grandchildren have just been 4yrs and 3yrs my granddaughter said to them " sit on the seat be quite and watch the bird fly in the nesting box" i thought you have no chance but they did!!
