having recently discovered this excellent site, I'm not sure what to do. I find all your blogs really helpful and uplifting. The BLF site is the first thing I go to evey morning now, once I come to. I hope I'll soon be savvy enough to join in.

what a lovely welcome, thank you all. I admit I'm a bit mad too. Having come to terms with the restrictions that come with copd, I find the worst thing, having been a chatterbox all my life, is running out off puff when I'm in company. Now I can chat without getting breathless.

Hi Letys!

This site is for people with all sorts of lung problems not just COPD but I think you will find that a sense of humour is essential!

Some people write blogs, some ask questions and some of us have written a short profile about ourselves. If you are interested, you can 'click' on someone's name in a post and then read their profile (why noy try writing one yourself? ). Others just pop in now and again to have a read and a laugh.

One thing for sure though everyone here gives great support to each other. Cheers!

I was diagnosed with copd just over a year ago after years of chest infections. As a non smoker I didn't expect it. My better half of 55yrs and I ran a transport cafe for many yrs. Seems the good old truckers smoke got to me. Still I wouldn't have changed my life ( perhaps I'd have worn a mask?) because it was a fantastic way to earn a living. Many thanks for the tips x.

Nice easy job then Letys. Short hours,meals provided. ha ha I am only joshing you. I ran a transport cafe too for some years and it is really hard work. Your comment brought back memories of happy days.
