WELCOME TO NEW MEMBERS

Hi, in case you're a new person looking for support this weekend - this is a great site.

Very, very knowledgable, helpful and supportive. Please dont take any notice of the weird earlier blog - it's so abnormal for here.

Just bypass it and a warm welcome to you. P

That's not me BTW , I dont lok like a dog :D . It's Fred, just 7 and a lovely boy I've had since he was 7 months old. Someone didn't want him so I took him on. Fred looks after me from time to time (he saved my life once, I'm convinced) but mostly it's me looking after him he's a bit 'sensitive'.

Have a lovely Sunday, so far it's very sunny here. P

Speaking of weird post gives interest that should not be with many now asking what post is not belonging on a welcome site.

Thanks Huffer, I was new here once and it's quite scarey if you've never joined a site for help before.

You have a lovely Sunday too :)

I'll tell him that in a minute when I'm dragging him around the park :)

Welcome to everyone!

I only joined very recently myself and I have found it extremely welcoming and friendly, supportive, informative and fun too.

What a great forum! Wonderful people :-)

A warm welcome and friendship for all that join :-)

I joined a few months ago. I regularly get insulted, picked on and threatened with violence. This is all from my new group of wonderful friends who answer all my questions and offer help and advice whenever they can. A super place to be. Love to all, Bobby xxxx

Phew, yes, I hope so.

I get all the posts through about 7am everyday and it was quite a shock waking up to all that stuff from yesterday... have a great day Libby xxx

please don't tell me you are judging my blog as weird and abnormal peeg, because that is how your statement appears.

Instructing newcomers to bypass my blog

Do not wish to be confrontational here, but I am somewhat offended with your unwarranted disrespect for my attempt to put a smile on the face of my friends here.

I think I deserve an apology, as if sharing humour is weird or abnormal, I would hate to be as normal as your good self, as judge and jury and week end moderator / welcoming committee

Oh!

This is confusing, your name is too like King of the Cocktails and I thought it was from him. I may be wrong, but I took Peeg's reference to earlier blog to be about some kerfuffle that went on yesterday. Strange outburst for a new member?

Not at all, I didn't say I didn't like the name, I said it's too close to a well established member's name and at a glance could be confusing.

you're right Libby, I wasn't at all refering to a particular blog only that kerfuffle (perfect word for it :) )

ullo, peeg - a nice gesture to newcomers. Fell part of a family which is great for me. My family is so far away.

Hi Annie, I was new just 3 months ago.

I'm sorry you're family are far away.

I'm very lucky, I've one 10 miles away who I hardly see - she's 29 now & so busy with being young and carefree. One just moved 35 miles away with my one & only grandchild. Luckily I see them once per week and one in the South of France.

Do you use Skype to talk to them? Yes, there are lovely welcoming people here including a certain Annie 80 - dont know where she's gone!! You miss them when they go missing for a few days or weeks.

Hope you're husband is doing okay Annieseed, think of you often

Brian is ok for the moment. Around 7-8 days after chemo, things can happen. Hair is going so a tiller hat. They look good.

I was just teasing Annie!

Glad he's alright so far but what's a tiller hat ?

Hidden
Hidden in reply to peege

find tiller hats on google. Every bloke should have one - they look good. But Brian was treated to one. They are expensive.

oooo, I'll have a look. Hats are great. I recently lost my favourite tweed cap. It got blown off in a gust straight into the Thames. It was like a friend I loved it so much. How silly is that!

Hidden

No, it isn't silly. I would feel the same.

Hi, Thank you so much for that. I only joined a couple of weeks ago and had a very kind and helpful reply from Homebreeze about a concern I had when I first joined.. I have been reading the blogs and, in the main, I have been heartened by the kind and friendly comments on the blogs page. However I thought you may have to be invited to join the blog. I know differently now and will not feel awkward about contributing if I feel it is appropriate for a new member.

Regards Jean

Feel at home, whitrok. I cant get out and about for different reasons. I used love meeting people outside my home. Now I dont have to. Talk away about whatever to a group of lovely people.
