I really dont know what i would do without the support of my partner,,even though i cope pretty well...She picks me up when i am down,,and kicks my ass when i need motivated...The grim fact is she knows that i will die long before her,, yet she is like a rock in a storm..I lost my late wife to cancer,,was her carer for over three years,,so i know both sides of the coin..A very lucky man i am to have her,,and i never forget that... :)

Bette Middler song says the words I cant

Ohhhh, oh, oh, oh, ohhh.

It must have been cold there in my shadow, to never have sunlight on your face.

You were content to let me shine, that's your way.

You always walked a step behind.

So I was the one with all the glory, while you were the one with all the strength.

A beautiful face without a name for so long.

A beautiful smile to hide the pain.

Did you ever know that you're my hero, and everything I would like to be

I can fly higher than an eagle, for you are the wind beneath my wings.

It might have appeared to go unnoticed, but I've got it all here in my heart.

I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it.

I would be nothing without you.

Did you ever know that you're my hero

You're everything I wish I could be.

I could fly higher than an eagle, for you are the wind beneath my wings.

Did I ever tell you you're my hero

You're everything, everything I wish I could be.

Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle, for you are the wind beneath my wings, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

Oh, the wind beneath my wings.

You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings.

Fly, fly, fly away. You let me fly so high.

Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.

Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.

Fly, fly, fly high against the sky, so high I almost touch the sky.

Thank you, thank you, thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings

Almost the same as having a lung condition having a carer living their life around illness.

The most important reason I can do what I do is the support that does not keep office hours with the strains this brings we have to care for each other in a partnership.caring for each other. Never forgetting how many relationships cannot take the stress and leave members isolated with a lung condition.

We are due to go to see a consultant on Tuesday to find out why my husband has lost most of his sight suddenly.

I am so afraid that I will become his carer after we have always looked after each other and he has been very good when I have been ill I really dont know how I will cope.

I am just praying they can do something for him.
