A farmer is going to market with a Fox, a Duck and a Bag of Corn.
He comes to a river that he has to cross.
There's a boat available, but it can only carry the farmer and one of his items.
If he takes the corn first, and leaves the fox and duck, the fox will eat the duck.
If he takes the fox, the duck will eat the corn.
How can he get all across without leaving the fox and duck or duck and corn together?

I think it was supposed to be a Goose, on reflection, not a duck.
I've still not figured out why a farmer would take a fox to market... Or what he's going to do with the Land Rover while he's messing about with boats...

Take the duck across and return take the corn across and pick up the duck and return.pick up the fox and drop the duck, take the fox across. Finally return to pick up the duck.
