Does any one get a sore mouth and tongue. I take nystatin but not doing much to help now any other suggestions xx

Every time you use a inhaler,,make sure you rinse your mouth out with fresh water..IF female and it is oral thrush you have had for a while,, a tablet for thrush would be a good idea to clear your system..

if you talk to your GP he will prescribe a weeks course it is much better than Nystatin the cannistan one seems to have no side effects with me, some of the others do.
I have escaped a sore mouth so far after I use my spiriva I rinse and brush my teeth for the reliever inhaler I try to rinse my mouth with water ,if its thrush you will need medication like raptor has already advised take care ! 
Try rinsing mouth with salt water. was suggestion from my GP and the only thing I have found works/helps.
I've been told it's the Seretide (purple) inhaler that will give you thrush. Spiriva and Salbutamol apparently don't. I use Oraldene mouthwash which helps, which I managed to get put on repeat prescription. The tablets never do much for me.
I agree it is the Seretide 500 purple dry powder inhaler that was getting me soooo regularly, despite a rigid regime of mouth rinse and cleaning teeth straight after taking. The resulting oral thrush was only cleared by a weeks course of 'Fluconazole'. However, my Pulmonary Nurse advised changing Seretide 500 to Seretide 250 [aerosol], 2 puffs x twice a day. That was a year ago and I haven't had oral thrush since. Still keep up the oral hygiene though. Worth having a chat with your GP.
years ago my asthma nurse suggested eating plain yogurt to combat thrush, I find a few spoons night and morning help...when I remember! I use soya yogurt.
Hubby gets a lot of oral thrush when he has a course of long term antibiotics, you can get a mouthwash called Difflam from the chemist, not cheap but it works, it is also available on prescription from your GP. I buy ours from Superdrug for about £5. Good luck
Hi. as per usual we're all different. Symbicort used to give me such a sore throat (not to mention my asthma got gradually worse over time).
Our practice nurse changed it to Seretide spray 250 and it's been fine for the last 18months or so.
Recently the cons said I wasn't using the inhaler properly so changed me to Seretide 250 powder. I've always rinsed & gargled very thoroughly with water.
Also during & after antiB's I take probiotic capsules (capsules way cheaper than those ridiculous sweet drink thingys). I eat loads & loads of yogurt & veg.
Something to remember is that sugar feeds any yeast infection like thrush so I choose to avoid all sweet stuff including fruit and feel very much better for it. Hope this helps, P
