Manage my finances no problem, be happier if my income was better.

I think when a Charity offers help with my finances, I hold my breath.

Why would you do that? Give us reasons please! I can manage my own finances thanks 😀

I am to old for advice

My lovely lady does all the finances but I'm sure some members on here may be grateful of some help.

For lung problems I ask you - for money problems I ask a financial advisor or bank - I would not expect an accountant to give advice on lung problems.

Why ask this question

Depends cos I'm independent never had any real help & it's one obstacle after another so it would be nice not to worry even for a day

No thanks,

Not really appropriate, advice on benefits is ok but to offer to manage my finances is not what I want from a Lung charity. Stick to supporting people to manage their lung condition better.

It's always reassuring that the BLF can help and offer any advice to help people

Why is everybody so cynical? As long as they,re not trying to sell me something I,ll listen to any advice, not saying I,ll take that advice or act on it but listening is free.D.

Hmm - not keen on the idea that vulnerable people who suffer from various chronic & acute illnesses on this site, will be targeted by "financial services".

of course like everyone else, I agree with the idea that it depends. But in general yes I would want to see such a service.

I would be interested to discover the how and how much that such a scheme would involve.

I can understand that for example if all BLF members negotiated a joint electricity block account that a significant price reduction could be obtained.

So bottom line is I would want a lot more details before I made any commitments.

Living on Pension Credit, barely enough for food and bills, so whats to manage?

Voted no. Apart from care/mobility allowance I don't have any income or am eligible for benefits. I am what use to be known as a kept woman as my partner and I have to live on his wage alone.

There is no context information to inform me in making a decision. Therefore, I have voted No. There are circumstances in which I might, I think we need more information.

I am satisfied with my current arrangements. Could be very helpful, particularly to younger people. Hope it is successful.

Shouldn't the BLF do more to improve public awareness of all respiratory diseases, symptoms, tips to self manage conditions, campaign for effective community support for those who face severe immobility and isolation due to lung function impairment, instead of entering the financial advice arena??
