Don't know about gabapentin but when I was taking pregabalin it made my already OAB much worse esp. when I tried increased dose!!! I have heard that duloxetine is much less bothersome but I am a bit reluctant to try yet another drug I have peripheral neuropathy Taking nothing at present. Good luck to you in finding something!

Hi foxglove I’m having urine problems since starting pregabalin 18 months ago and am seriously going to try to get off but it does relieve some of my pain the question I’d like to ask is has your oab improved since you stopped taking it hope you’ve found something to help with your neuropathy

I have been on gabapentin for about a year and a half. When I first started it I was on the lowest dose but could not keep my eyes open and felt extremely dizzy all the time. I had to increase my dose to the highest over a few months and it did effect my employment as I was constantly sleeping or in bed! I've also tried pregabalin but found it made no difference to my bladder condition at all. Gabapentin has helped but I still suffer very badly with my bladder. I also find that if I don't take any gabapentin or miss one tablet I'm awake all night.
