2LAD STENT

So as some will know I've not long had another stent in my LAD just over a week ago now. And the pains have started.. last night and during today..dull aches down my forearm...left! Chest pain and back pain... surely this can't be more problems when I've had another stent only last week.. it's upsetting when your trying so hard to keep it out of your mind . Could it be stent bedding in? If it was then surely I wouldn't get any pain if the artery is open now.. I had a bit similar in 2028 with first stent.. I'm sick of this every time. I've got a consultation in early January and an echocardiogram in first week so I may just wait till then.. I can't keep ringing up the hospital when I've just had a stent and it says "nice result" after having issues inserting the stent at first

Hi Rob6868, can you not call the cardiac team & explain how worried you are? Also, I would be tempted to call 111 if only to put your mind at rest. Hope you're feeling better asap xx

Rob, just phone 111 it's better to be safe than sorry at least if you're checked over it will put you at ease as worrying is the last thing you need when recovering. Just call. Hope you feel better soon x

I had similar when I had my stents fitted. I phoned the number on my discharge notes and was seen at the hospital. They gave me Isosorbide Mononitrate tablets when helped.

remember that the stent they fitted will be doing its job but the smaller arteries could be blocked or obstructed which can still cause discomfort or pain.

Speak to the hospital or your cardiologist.
