had Atrial fibrillations since 2018 but has become more noticeable in my chest , heart rate was high ,doctor has put me on bisoprolol 2.5 mg when lying down always notice iractic heart beat, and in the early hours of morning got up fast and felt incredibly sick and sweaty , and whole body felt strange, called ambulance felt really scared thought my time was up, Ambulance turned up and were really good did tests but could not find any real problem. they said that just because i,ve just started taking bisoprolol , 2 days ago that because the medicine was doing what is was meant to do ,bring blood pressure down . That standing up fast from a lying down postion could be the reason , and that i should rise from the bed more slowly. just wondered if any one had experienced these feelings.

yes mobyfool, that has happened to me but some time ago. I always sit on my bed for a few seconds before getting up and also before lying down, and I also seem to have got used to the Bisoprolol now and have far fewer symptoms. No dizziness like you describe now. I think it takes far longer than 2 days to get used to any medication and for things to stablise. Give it 2 months. And good luck.
