Is your GP watching or have you been asigned to a cardio. at your hospital?In the case of the latter I would expect a consultation and an echocardiogram .I think a bit more info . might draw people out to talk about their own experiences.
You are certainly not the first person to have unfortunately had a heart attack out of the UK and returned home and now require some form of ongoing care, so I suggest it might be worth having a word with your GP or at least the BHF Heart Helpline nurse who will understand the procedures and protocols that apply and advise you what you should be doing. It might also speed things up a bit if you have any medical documents which are in French translated into English to hand over.
