Heart Attack and 2 Stents - side effects.

Over the New Year period I had an MI and subsequently 2 Stents fitted. A 3rd more "minor" narrowing was noted but was left alone, I will see the Cardiologist this week and ask why. I guess it may have been too difficult to get to using angiogram..

After the procedure I had quite a serious Hematoma which needed manipulating by the team, around the area of the clamp on my wrist, which gave me a nice multi-coloured bruise like a "half sleeve" tattoo :) . I also had an issue which I can't recall the name now, but was to do with the Vagus nerve. Blood pressure and heart beat dropped, they came and sorted it by tipping the bed up and giving me something through the cannular. After 10 minutes I felt fine again.. Was told it can affect maybe 2 in 100 people and pretty much exclusively men.

Just wondering on side effects. I do get pins and needles with numbness in my fingers, particularly my left little finger on occasions, seems to just start and then go randomly, but perhaps more in the evening.

Also, I do seem to have developed dry skin on my fingers and toes. The finger tips look like they do when you have been in the water too long and a bit wrinkly,

Not sure if the above is to do with the meds or not and will speak with the Cardio team next week, as I also start my rehab..

Apart from that I feel fine really, Get the occasional chest twinge and getting used to running out of energy a little sooner than I used to..
