Was diagnosed with a functioning bicuspid valve back in 2018 was born with this, took over 30 years to get diagnosed as the symptoms got worse.
Symptoms
Headaches, dizzy spells, out of body experience, wheezing, shortness of breath whilst walking sharp stabbing pains in the chest for few seconds randomly
I was offered an operation date but had to cancel due to catching Covid I had managed to avoid it since the beginning of the pandemic.
Just waiting on new date now apparently having a fully functioning bicuspid is rare so thought I would see how many others are here with it ?
One thing we haven’t looked into is life insurance and wondered if anyone can point me in the direction of a company that might be able to help either before or after the opp
Many thanks

so after many years I have finally had my operation, the aneurism was at a concerning size so couldn’t be delayed any longer
I have had that removed and I believe it’s new pipe work plus a mechanical valve.
5months on from the operation and I’m still not used to the ticking and can keep me awake some nights but gradually getting there. The pain it leaves you with post surgery on the ribs is something else they don’t quite explain how painful it can be and the simple tasks were hard.
The positive thing is im still here and hopefully will be for a long time to come
