Now in St. Bart's, had a CT scan, and vascular ultrasound test tomorrow, ahead of surgery on Friday for mitral valve repair or replacement, hopefully minimally invasive.

I will let you know how it went, my Hearties 💔

Good luck! My valve result came back as within normal limits but that doesn,t explain the breathlessness and dizzy spells plus the presyncope. I,m having further tests.

Thank you to all the people who I have never met, and unlikely to, but I can feel the warmth in your messages. Bart's is certainly a brilliant place to be, even though I'd rather not be!

Almost a year ago I was in Bart's for my aortic root replacement, insertion of mechanical valve and graft on aorta. I wish you the very best.

Good luck. I had Mitral and Tricuspid valve repair three years ago and have never once regretted it. Take things easy and listen to your body. Don’t try to run before you can walk. You’ll be fine x

Go well Beatles1956. I’m currently on the waiting list at Barts for mitral valve repair- it looks like you had a 3 month wait since echo? I was told told 2-3 months from when I saw surgeon so hopefully Dec/Jan latest. I wish you all the very best, the team sound excellent and I shall follow your posts with interest.

Good Afternoon Beatles,

All the best for tomorrow, and before you know it, you can Get Back to some normality at the very least.

I would say, have a little drink this evening, but, that would be frowned on these days.

Cheers

Heed

Hi. Doesn't seem to be hospital radio in here. Thought they might play "what becomes of the broken hearted" or "the first cut is the deepest"!😉

There's always "Reasons to be Cheerful" and after tomorrow you will see the benefits of " A Good Heart".

Best wishes. I’m now on the elective waiting list for mine - 3 to 4 months they reckon. I will look forward to seeing your posts. Don’t think I have the option for minimally invasive as not set up yet. Take care. Speedy recovery.

All the best for tomorrow, I had both my mitral and tricuspid valves repaired 3 years ago minimal invasive, you will feel like a new man. I genuinely didn't realise how ill I was until I was well on the way to recovery. X
