I can’t be leave how meany lovely comments of support I have received. I can confirm that I will not be leaving the site how could I with all you lovey lot. I know I’v not posed much about my heart but to be honest I’m terrified of what’s to come I have Newcastle phoning on Friday and fingers crossed they will have a date for me to come in and have my cardiac catheter and liver checks done. I will of corse have Olivia Grace to come home to. Don’t worry I’m not leaving a real baby at home she is a reborn and I know most of you know that. Trying to get my weight off has been the hardest thing I’m just hoping I’v lost enough to prove to them this is something I want and quite frankly need

Phew I am so glad you are staying I think so many of us admire you and not only want to try and support you the best we can but to eventually see a happy outcome to your heart condition regarding you getting this transplant
I for one would be gutted had we not been given this chance to see you get what you so deserve a new heart and a better quality of life
I have had a triple Bypass and I have not coped well and one thing I do sometimes is read your profile and your posts and I think if that young lady can deal with all she has to deal with and have such a positive attitude strength and courage then I can deal with this Bypass I have had
I wish you all the best for Friday and hope you will let us know how it goes as you do have so much support on here from people that genuinely do care about you x
I hope it all goes well Tori and at least you have Olivia Grace to look forward to.Don't forget to post that picture of her.😊
I am so pleased that you are staying on this site too, you would be greatly missed and everyone wants to follow you on this journey, good luck on Friday and I like the others would like to see a picture of Olivia Grace xx
Hi Tori, so glad your staying with us, good luck for Friday. I hope you have done better than me, GAINED 4lbs this week!!!! Take care.
Well done Tori, never let a bully get the better of you.
Honestly, I had no idea what a reborn was, you learn something new every day 🤣
Here's képing out fingers crossed for Newcastle on Friday (which Newcastle BTW?) 😁
I'm so glad your staying on here Tori..... Good luck for Friday and let us know how you get on.... Will be keeping my fingers cross.
I also would like to see Olivia Grace xx
Exactly. Stay with us, we are stronger as a group. My wife enjoyed researching newborns, a new world for us.Colin
Dear buddyYes lots of love on this site.
Now a little joke…
Sorry to say that a certain Emma has temporarily taken a share of my heart.
Good luck for Friday. Really hope you get the news you need (and deserve).
I got a reconditioned newborn baby boy for a lovely lady at my late dad's nursing home - (he passed away in March at the grand old age of 99 (COVID got him)). She has very bad dementia/Alzheimer's (aged 36!) and as a result her own children were fostered out. She knew nothing about the family she'd lost but she treasures the new born and called him Alfie.
She takes him everywhere and will talk non stop about him. This lovely lady had been aggressive and withdrawn but Alfie brought the best out of her and she became a protective mum again. The nursing staff at the home keep me updated!!
Lots of love and hugs. Jan xxx
That’s so lovey they can help like that. She got Alzheimer’s at a very young age xxx
It was the least I could do as the Care Home had been so good to my dad. None of the residents (much older people and all with dementia in some form) wanted to talk to the lovely young lady with Altzheimer's so when I visited dad, I always made a point of having a conversation with her (her name is Anna Grace).
The reborn certainly sparked something in her and made her feel wanted and needed again I'm sure. You're right Tori. Little Alfie has made all the difference to her mentally (and physically) as she now walks Alfie around the Care Home in a little buggy.
Even the older residents are now showing Anna Grace some compassion.
That’s just so lovely xxxx
Hi Tori. I'm just thankful you started the little thread about the joy of owning a reborn. It's helped me get a lot off my mind, relating to my poor old dad, that I was keeping to myself.Without knowing it, you've helped me so much. Love and hugs. Jan xxxx
What a lovely lovely thing to do Handel. Just so very thoughtful, reading about her and how she clearly treasures the newborn brought tears to my eyes. We all need something to love and hug. 🏆
The Home FaceTimed me last week and I spoke to Anna Grace. She hadn't got a clue who I was but as soon as I started talking and asked about Alfie, she bent down and picked him up from the buggy (and he waved at me!!! - well - with some help!!). Anna Grace asked why I was crying which was really unusual for her apparently. I just said I was so glad to see her and Alfie. The Home staff said that before Alfie came on the scene, Anna Grace would have needed to be relocated to another care home. I'm really happy to say that this is now not an option.
I think Tori summed everything up. Reborns are really helpful to some who need to hug and care for someone missing in their life.
Wonderful stuff. There was a time in my adult life a Rupert Bear was a life saver
so I understand. Bless you for having been instrumental in saving Anna Grace. I love her name! 😀🦋🍀
It was just a thought that came to me having been told by the care staff about Anna-Grace's sad journey. It just seemed right. I think the idea came from me giving my mother in law Edna a toy golden labrador when she was in a nursing home years ago (again dementia and Alzheimer's). Dogs were so important to her. She took that stuffed dog everywhere with her and was clutching it when she passed away.
25 years ago but I'm still sobbing now about that!!!! Love and hugs. Jan xxx
Jan what a lovely thing to do, you have found a part of that young woman’s memory that is still there.Saw a piece on line of a old lady with Alzheimer’s who had been a ballerina, she was in a wheelchair but when they played the music of Swan Lake she started to move her arms as if she were dancing, the look of pure joy on her face was wonderful it brought a tear to my eye.
Best wishes Pauline x
My dad, bless him, was in a band in days gone by and played the trumpet and mouthorgan. I didn't have the wherewithal to buy a trumpet but took a mouthorgan to the care home (before the pandemic hit). He was the talk of the home (in a good way)! Music brought so much happiness to him and although he lost the ability to talk (Alzheimer's robbed him of so much), he could let care staff know how he was feeling.
The lady you spoke of and Swan Lake is a case in point. Lovely to know music is a way through the horrible fog of dementia. Jan xxx
You are so right, isn’t the brain remarkable? We can lose so much but in other ways it can retrieve those precious memories. My husband had a huge stroke, lost the use of his left side, within 48 hours it had started to make new pathways to gain control of his arm again. I remember the consultant saying the brain was the most powerful computer on earth and we only know a tiny percentage of what it is capable of doing. Take good care.
Incredible!! I think our computer will always find a way.I do wonder whether we'll ever be able to use the full capacity (not in our lifetime I know).
Best wishes. Jan xxx
Amazing wasn’t it ….. 😀
It certainly was, how there was some part of her brain that remembered and her beautiful arms began to move with the music as they did in a time before the Alzheimer’s took so much away.
Nice one Tori, I know personally I draw a lot of strength from your journey 🙂
Tori. Very best of luck and I sincerely hope you get the results you require
I'm so glad you're staying. Posting on here isn't all about our physical condition. My main support from the forum has been about the massive anxiety I had after my heart attack not about the actual H.A. The psychological, emotional and social support is just as important and sometimes more. The person who posted those comments has a problem.
Well good luck for Friday buddy we are all thinking of you what’s so nice on this site nobody as far as I’m aware has met anybody but we all I think worry about people and hope they are doing ok so try not to worry too much you will be in good hands take care ❤️Xxx

So proud of you being able to get your positivity back, we all have things that help us to get through things and to feel a little better. Thankgod for reborns and all the other special things that help us to feel love. Good luck with your procedure. There is a lot of love on this site. So glad you decided to stay on this site where everyone can support you and send love and compassion. You are a very strong lady who will definately feel uplifted when your little one arrives. If people cant say good things about others then they should say nothing. Silence sometimes is golden. sending love and good luck to you. Xx
I hope your meeting in Newcastle goes well Tori and the weather is kind to you. It has been so hot and humid here in Singapore and I would welcome a nice cool holiday in England or better still Scotland - Caithness even. Fantastic news your reborn is due soon and I can see everyone is almost as excited as you. I am suffering from Prinzmetals/VasoSpasms and presumed MVD but nothing compared to what you have been through dear. I hope this time next year all has gone well for you and we are discussing how well your new heart is working. My very best wishes to you Tori from Singapore where I have lived for over 20 years.....you even have International Fans 🤣
