Should I take magnesium?

Hi can anyone give me advice about taking magnesium and if so in what form should it be taken?

I have had two heart attacks, stents installed have high cholesterol for which of course I take statins. I can get rather tired mid afternoon. I’m active and have no weight issues

Thank you in advance for any advice.

I generally shy away from individual vitamins and go for a high quality food source multivitamin. The go to supplement to try for us on statins is Q10 coenzyme . Google it and see what you think. It is possible to take too much magnesium.

Good health to you .

I agree - we have been taking MitoQ for several years - it's not cheap but it definitely helped with muscle pain

Why are you contemplating taking magnesium? I take it in tablet form having had a suggestion from my osteopath that it may help with the dreadful leg cramps I suffered most nights. Certainly said cramps are far less frequent these days.

Thank you. I am led to believe that I may well benefit from extra magnesium. It’s all very complex and takes time to get ones head around it all. Take care.

Due to its size there is rarely enough magnesium in multi vitamins, and it is practically gone from our food due to modern farming methods. When you suffer a heart attack the emergency doctors will inject you with magnesium. When your body does not have enough magnesium you suffer a heart attack. Magnesium can be hard to absorb so a good way is to buy magnesium salts for your bath or make a skin spray as this is the best way to absorb it, I would get a good absorbable supplement too. All this is allegedly, I have found out from Clive De Carle and others on you tube, but I am not a doctor so please research it first.
