The day has arrived when my husband goes into hospital for his triple bypass surgery. Operation scheduled for Thursday morning. So many mixed feeling my head is spinning. Relief that it’s maybe the start of a better life for him and fear of losing him. Not being able to visit him is just adding to my stress levels. Fingers crossed

Wishing both of you all the best and hope to hear from you next week that he is home. Take care of yourself ... you will be nervous until you hear he is ok post surgery. But he will be well looked after and he will be home soon.

I found the team prepare you mentally so well before the op I can honestly say I never felt what I thought I would feel and before I knew it I was back in recovery.

Morning. My bypass surgery is about midday today. Came in yesterday late afternoon and now I'm here my nerves seem to have settled. Still a bit scared but think the anticipation is usually worse than the event.

I hope all goes well for your husband tomorrow and the very best of luck for a speedy recovery. Sending best wishes to you both 💐💐💕

Sorry it's been cancelled. Very disappointing for you. Use this time to try and get fitter( if you need to) and keep up the exercises and walk every day ( if able). Take care and stay safe x x

Good luck to you for your surgery later. You are absolutely right that a stoic sense comes over us when we are in situe in hospital, not a calmness but a resolution and acceptance and readiness for the work ahead. A bravery even. Best wishes, please let us know how you progress.

All best wishes. My husband had a triple bypass 3.5 years ago, he worked hard on recovery and did really well.Remember that for the medical staff, this is what they do all the time and they are expert.

The not visiting is horrible, but the staff understand this as well, so hopefully you'll be able to phone and do Facetime etc

Thinking of you both this morning. Hope all goes well and you can start new chapter in your lives 💕
