I would like to apologise for my last post.

Driven completely by frustration, shortly after Christmas I posted that, such was the focus on COVID 19, in both the NHS and the private sector, the only way I was going to receive the bypass surgery I required was if I had a heart attack. It was an immature and insensitive post and one that I regretted posting as soon as I pressed send.

For me the good news is that I have now had quadruple bypass surgery, and without having a heart attack. It’s very early days post surgery and the road to recovery has just started. But the longest journey starts with a single step.

Hello Disney59

Getting frustrated when we are waiting for our surgery is something most of us can relate to even before the pandemic.

So pleased to read your post that you are starting on the road to recovery, just follow the instructions you have been given and things will get better, you will get your stamina back. Your op was major and it does take time to get back to where we were.

My surgery was 4 years ago at the age of 68, and life is good.

I send every good wish for a great recovery.

Great news and good luck with your recovery. You were in a difficult position and voiced concerns that many have in relation to many health issues at present so no apology needed from my point of view but good to have an update on your situation
