What type do you have and is it available in the uk 🇬🇧 where most of us live. In your experience how did you check yours

Hi if it was me I give the hospital pacing clinic a call there should be contact details on his discharge summary. He should have been given a device card to carry around with him at all times which will have all the device details on it. Give them a call and I am sure they will be able to sort. There could be numerous reasons for his breathlessness so please ask the experts. Best of luck

I agree with Elfmaiden, ring the pacemaker clinic and talk to them. I had problems with breathlessness after I had my pacemaker fitted and it was because the pacing settings were too low. The clinic should be able to help.

Hope you get it sorted.

Many thanks for getting back to me. We have checked with clinic and they said it was working well. Can I possibly ask what yours was set at and what they changed it to. Any information may help.

Wish I could remember, it was about three years ago. I know they said the original setting was suitable for someone who was elderly and inactive. I was getting out of breath walking up a very slight incline but as soon as they changed the settings I felt so much better.

Many Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately I had to take him to A & E as he was so bad. He has also started getting fluid build up. Hopefully they can now sort it out.
