Lipitor

I’m on Lipitor have taken them for 2 months now l sleep very well through the night and wake feeling fine by around 3 in the afternoon I am washed out and sleep for around an hour when I wake I feel sick and very tired no energy at all

I take 20 mg any advice

Hi. I was on Atorvastatin. It wasn’t until my GP increased the dose that I realised the connection between that and my tiredness. After the dose increase I just couldn’t stay up in the afternoon. I had to have a sleep.

GP changed me onto Simvastatin and I’m fine on that.

Have a word with yours. It is a known side effect.

Hi Ben, yes I now take lipitor 20mg and it has taken my cholesterol down ... as for side effects none ,that I have put down to the medication . I sleep well, though have on occasion felt a bit sleepy around 4pm and occasionally have taken 40 winks but didn't attribute it to the medication but age ...Still do my exercises so no real downside I can think of ...I would continue and see if it persists and of course if see if it brings down your cholesterol. If it does then weigh up the advantages against the disadvantages or just speak to your DR and ask to change it and try another .... hope I was of some help ... and don't hesitate to ask .. Bayram
