Bisoprolol

I’m on Bisoprolol 2.5mg and have been for about 6 weeks now. I’m getting a frequent tingling and numbness mainly in my left hand but sometimes in the right. How long does this take to wear off roughly? I thought it would’ve stopped by now.

When I get the tingling it doesn’t last long but is very irritating.

Hi, now I never knew it could be related to bisoprodol as I have had that for months and months now . At this moment in time it is my right arm whereas it was my left? No help though sorry 😐

I’ve been reading the side effects online and apparently this is one of them.

Well I have to be honest and say this has been going on over 18 months with me BUT I’m seeing physio who are useless to be honest, so it’s a possibility it’s not the tablets. I can barely use my right arm at time for tingling and muscle pain.

I get the same and it’s agony when it happens through the night, takes a while for the tingling to go off. I don’t see my consultant until June so maybe a chat with the GP

I have been getting various tingling & cramps since having heart surgery in July last year. I wasn’t sure which drug it was until recently, as I was on a few. I am now on just bisoprolol and still have the cramps. Dosage was increased a couple of weeks ago and the cramps increased.

The way I see it, the paperwork giving incidence of side effects is wildly inaccurate as most people never get to give the pharmacist feedback. So when it says 1 in 100 for a side effect, it probably means 1 in 10.

I also get a runny nose on bisoprolol, which isn’t even mentioned in the drug info, yet many on here have experienced it.

That’s interesting as my sister has just been prescribed Bisoprolol and she’s complaining of a runny nose

I’m on 10mg daily and have been now for nearly two years, I also take ramipril and eplerenone, I have the same numbness/ache particularly when in bed - I thought it was a trapped nerve!

I suffer somewhat with insomnia too, which I attributed to the pills, but my consultant feels that that’s more likely my age/lifestyle.

Thanks for the steer!

I’d increased the Bisoprolol from 1.25 - 2.5 by taking one in morning and one evening, sadly I’m now getting aches in my weak spots and the itchy palm this morning, plus tummy issue. So probably need to decrease again🙄

Yes I get those feelings in my head. Also cramps and pins and needles in my arms. Couldn't understand what was causing it. Have reduced from 5.00 to 2.5 recently and still getting these feelings.
